Care Fund connects Delta people 10/23/07

The Delta Employee and Retiree Care Fund is up and running and has begun accepting grant applications. Created by and for Delta people, the fund can connect us to much needed assistance during times of personal hardship. But, it’s much more than that. The fund gives us a way to connect with our Delta colleagues by donating not only our money, but also our experience and our time.

Connect to help during times of need
Eligible Delta and Delta Technology employees, retirees, survivors who are facing a personal hardship that began within the past six months may apply for a grant from the Delta Employee and Retiree Care Fund for up to $1,500. Grants will be based entirely on need resulting from events such as fire, crime, accident, illness, injury or disaster (natural, man-made or personal). The application is online on Employee Self-Service; and the process is strictly confidential. Support is provided through the Employee Service Center for those who need assistance completing the application or for those who do not have access to the online application. The Fund has a rotating 13-member volunteer Board of Directors of people from throughout the Delta family to direct the fund, evaluate applications and award grants.

Donate and get involved to stay connected throughout the year
Contributing any amount every month can help make a tremendous difference in the lives of people in need and help us to grow the fund to meet even greater needs in the future. Non-pilot retirees can sign up for pension deductions by completing the Delta Charitable Funds Donation Form.  Fax or postmark by Dec. 1 for pension deductions to begin Jan. 1, 2008.
