75th Anniversary Kickoff in Atlanta Friday;
Retirees are invited! 3/24/2004
The kickoff for Delta's 75th Anniversary
Celebration will be noon-2 p.m. Friday, March 26 in Hangar One at the
World Headquarters in Atlanta, and retirees are invited. CEO Jerry
Grinstein and Vicki Escarra will be on hand to officially open
Historic Hangar One, Delta's revitalized museum and historical
showcase. Participants will get a sneak preview of the Monroe Café, a
food for purchase service opening March 29. Snacks and beverages will
be provided by Aramark and the Coca-Cola Company. Employees will be
able to see the 75th anniversary traveling exhibit, a 16-panel
historical display including a touch screen kiosk and artifacts. A
rendering of Delta's Ship 1002 Boeing 767 in the 75th Anniversary
livery will be revealed. There will also be a 75th anniversary video.
Attendees will have the opportunity to register for the chance to win
a flight on one of Delta's vintage aircraft.
