Delta Pension Information
The media have given a great deal of coverage recently to Delta's pension plan and executive compensation programs. In addition, a great deal of information is circulating electronically and through word of mouth. Unfortunately, some of the information we have seen is inaccurate or incomplete. We have heard from many of you who have questions about Delta's pension funding and other matters.


We believe it is appropriate to respond to these questions and to provide you with accurate facts and information. Posted on this site is material which is available through a variety of Delta internal sources, including DeltaNet, our corporate intranet. Since many of you may not have DeltaNet access yet, we have posted the following documents:

Current Update: Recent media reports have prompted questions about the funding of Delta's pension plans, and in particular the role and resources of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), the federal agency that insures corporate pension funds. Read questions and answers on the PBGC as taken from the PBGC Web site.
